Discover Some Original Music

Musician and songwriter Angela Easterling of South Carolina will be appearing in Lancaster to perform some of her own original music on October 1 at 6:00PM. The show will be held in Bates Auditorium in the Lancaster Public Library. In addition to playing her own compositions, Ms. Easterling will share some classic tunes from various genres, and will speak about the songwriting process.

Kids and Culture World Tour — Venezuela

On October 16 at 6:30 PM, Lancaster public library will host Jose Urdaneta for a special cultural event designed for children. Your kids will get a chance to learn about what it’s like to grow up in Venezuela by listening to stories, playing games, and participating in a special craft project. They’ll also get to hear some great music from the country, and ask questions of their host.

Throw the Fight in Concert

Fans of Alternative rock will want to head to Lancaster’s Freedom Hall on October 16 at 6:00PM for a night of great music With Throw the Fight. The band came out of Minneapolis in 2003, and has since delighted audiences in over 30 states.

Their following has been growing at an impressive rate in recent years, and they’re sure to provide an excellent night of entertainment.

Taste the World Event — Finger Foods

Taste the World is one of the most unique Lancaster County events. Every second Friday between May and November, popular Lancaster restaurants offer up an array of dishes from around the world. There will be an event on October 11, with a finger food theme.

Go to 24 East King Street between 4:45 and 6:30 to start your culinary tour. You’ll be able to enjoy food from countries like Italy, Vietnam, Greece, India, and more.

Five Finger Punch

If you’re a heavy metal fan, come to Lancaster’s freedom Hall at 25 South Queen Street on October 13 for a performance by Five Finger Punch. The band came out of LA in 2005, and has since recorded several albums that have been certified gold. Their show kicks off at 6:30 PM, and is sure to be a night to remember.

Cultures and Cooking

Come to Lancaster Public Library at 6:00 PM on October 24 for a special Irish themed culinary event. Learn more about Ireland and taste some of its best cuisine as your host chef Joe DeVoy prepares authentic shepherd’s pie, and a dessert of Bailey’s Irish cheese cake.


Enjoy an Oktoberfest celebration at Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant in Lancaster. Every evening through 10/13, Iron Hill will feature special menu items, and a range of great Bavarian beers. German dancers will also be performing to add even more authenticity to your experience.

Fox on the Fairway

Rainbow Dinner Theater at 3065 Lincoln Highway East, in Paradise PA, is holding daily performances of the classic theatrical comedy Fox on the Fairway. Come enjoy a great meal, and a great show at the only all comedy dinner theater in the United States. The play runs through 10/26, so don’t miss your chance to see it!

See Noah at Sight and Sound Theater

Lancaster’s Sight and Sound Theater has brought back its popular rendition of the story of Noah. Experience the biblical tale like never before until November 2 only.
